26/2/10

It would be around 7 years since I last went to Petrosains in KLCC.

It would be around 10 years since I last ate A&W.

Both done today though.

Petrosians didn't have many differences as far as I could remember. An addition next to the Petrosians is Muzika - a musical section which is quite fun and interesting. The downside is that it is quite small. But I think its quite enjoyable.

Ok... so I was wrong.

It was better than I expected.

I had more fun than I expected.

Thanks.

Let's drive

No more pressure on the left leg.

No more worries about engine dying.

No more bothering about changing gears.

No more pain to the left leg during traffic jams.

My left leg feels so free... lol...

I got my P license yesterday! I officially can drive now, in my mum's automatic Myvi.

Will miss the trill of changing gears in manual car though.

***

Going for a gathering later. I would drive there but I don't think I want to drive during night time yet.

Haiz. It's not that I don't want to go. It just feels... a little too crowded...

Triple events for Feb 14th 2010

Happy Chinese New Year! Gong Xi Fa Cai! Hope everyone collect lots of angpow XD. Enjoy the food and win lots of $$ if you gamble XDXD Have fun visiting. May all of you be in the pink of health and enjoy lots of happiness and luck in the year of the tiger. Rawr~

What comes to mind first when the date February 14th is mentioned? Definitely Valentine's Day. May love continue to grow among couples. And may singles find true love too XD

Lastly, SAD - Singles Awareness Day. Quite the opposite of Valentine's Day. Surely not a popular event as some still haven't heard of it. But some people, especially singles like me do know it...

Happy 3 in 1 ^^ Whichever you celebrate, hope you are happy and enjoy the day ^^

P stands for Pass!!

Alright, I'll admit it... I failed my 1st driving exam(parking) on the 28th of January. Yea only a handful of people knew this and I wasn't planning to confide this secret to more people than them.

But I realized that it didn't matter much. Failure is just another way of learning. You need to lose in order to win...

Round 2...

I changed my strategy for my 2nd try today. I was totally freaking out during the 1st time. I tried out to be more confident this time, constantly reminding myself that this is just like practising. And it did help out with calming my nerves.
***
Here's what happened(it will be quite boring and I advise you to skip the following paragraphs unless you want to waste your time or feel bored):-

The uphill exam was alright with me managing to put 3 quarter of the car's tires on the line.
I learned over to my left window to see a friendly looking examiner.
"You are number 12?"
"Yes."
"Ok. Continue."
I accelerated hard before releasing the clutch slightly and the car manage to move over the hill, not too smoothly as I would like though.

I queued behind another car as we waited to do the parking. I was slightly disappointed when they instructed me to park in the parking no. 2 - this was the exact place which I failed during the 1st time. But I managed to block the memory from haunting me as I stop slowly beside the parking lot to begin the task.

To my relief, these Vivas have power steering, unlike the ones that I drove when practising. I had to used all the strength that I had to move that stupid steering wheel. Fortunately these Vivas had power steering which makes it a thousand times easier to 'pull and push'.

I raised my hand when the car was in the box and the examiner smiled at me and waved his hand to indicate that I may drive out. Today's examiners are so friendly compared to the previous ones. I wondered if the previous examiner failed me on purpose...

1 more to go... just 1 more before I can say bye bye...

3 point turn was probably the easiest for me but I still have to be careful. One mistake and I can come back here again next time. But I managed to do it just fine.

***

"So how was it? Did you pass?"

I couldn't help but flash a wide grin that answered the question asked.

***

Bye bye Sungai Buloh! Glad I'm not going back to that place again XD

The stupid, no power Viva actually made me passed... Wow.

ps. Don't even think about asking me to give you a ride yet. I will only get my P license after CNY.

Stupid, no power Viva

I knew even before I drove Viva, that although Viva is smaller than Saga, Saga will still be a better car to drive.

Saga was without a doubt more powerful and easier to drive than Viva. As I step into the Viva for the first time, put it into gear 1, tried to make it move, and it died. Zzz. The unfamiliar feeling began to fill me as I tried and failed to get use to it.

The Viva's acceleration is quite bad, especially from rest to make it move. Only when the car reached 70km/h did I notice the car moving more smoothly. The jam yesterday to and from Sungai Buloh was very bad so I couldn't hit the 100km/h mark like I wanted too.

If I thought doing the uphill exam in a Saga was a nightmare, then doing it in a Viva is definitely hell. I need to press the accelerator so hard before the car could move over the hill. Haiz.

The parking space was modified to make it smaller than last time since Vivas are smaller. So its probably the same level of difficulty with Saga if not harder.

3 point turn was almost the same with the additional fear of the engine dying. Viva's engine can die so easily if you didn't press the accelerator. Unlike the Saga, I need to press the accelerator when parking and doing the 3 point turn.

So I'm bracing myself for hell.

Stupid, no power Viva.

Tooth Fairy

I was surprise when there were hardly any people lining up to buy tickets at the 3rd floor of the GSC ticket counter at Time Square at 11am. Today was a Sunday after all.

1 word that describes The Tooth Fairy - funny. This is one of those movies that guarantee you to be laughing(if not, then you are probably dead serious or you should go see a doctor). Although the movie is not logic and the story isn't very good, the acting was really great and lots of laughter could be hear in the cinema.
