Thor + dinner with Galus Clan

Went to see Thor with Rick yesterday.

It is another superhero movie and this movie does have some really nice CGI backgrounds and cool scenes. However some part might seem too fake or too much of a fantasy. But hey, it is based on a comic book after all.

The story seems interesting with Thor getting banished from his world for his bad attitude and forced to live on Earth as a normal human. From there, the movie does have more funny moments where Thor copes with human life.

Overall, it is a good movie that fantasy movie fans would love. However, I do not think this movie can top other Marvel movies like Iron Man or Spiderman.

Went for bowling after lunch before we went to meet up with James near his college. There, we waited for Ming to come before we took the lrt to KLCC to eat somewhere nearby there.

The dinner was nice. I guess I have to let you off the guarantee XD.

We planned to go to Rick's house after that. I had to use the lrt to go home because I didn't have any transportation. So, they kept on teaching me how to use the lrt to go home later. Haha. Relax la. They all seemed more worried than me and kept on teaching me more and more, which got me more confused instead XD.

But I didn't go to Rick's house because it was getting late and I might not have enough time to boarded the last train at 11.30pm. So I took the lrt straight to my station while they headed off the other way.

Ended up playing with them on Garena when I got home XD.

Had fun with Galus Clan today.

You don't need to have the smartest, coolest, funniest, or most stylish friends to have best friends.

Sepang Gold Coast

Went to Sepang Gold Coast yesterday with college friends. We met up at college first before leaving for our destination at 2.00pm in 2 cars. We used the GPS to help us get there but ended up getting a bit lost thanks to it.

We reached there at around 4.00pm. The weather was sunny but it wasn't very hot. The tide was low tide and we walked on the seemingly endless sandy beach as the wind blew at us.

After that (the tide was beginning to come in), we went back up to the shady place to have our picnic there.

Later, the weather was nicer as it turned cloudy and we went to play frisbee. When we got tired, some of them went into the water to play. Eventually more and more of them got dragged into the water. I stayed a good distance away from there since I never brought any extra clothes. Haha. Could only play in the shallow parts of the water and on the sand.

Too bad the view of the sunset wasn't really clear to our position. It would be a great scene to see on the beach together with the sound of the waves.

However, even if there was a perfect sunset sight, the moment would still be lacking a thing to make it perfect...

After playing and waiting for them too bathe, we ate some more food before packing things up to leave. We left around 8.00pm where the lightning started lighting up the dark sky and the rain drops began to fall.

On the way back, we took turns to play music from our phones in the car XD (since the car radio was off to save battery power).

We went to eat dinner/supper at around 10+pm in KL. We departed at nearly midnight to our own respective homes. Thanks to Kang Swee for being my driver of the day.

2 Major Decisions

It is currently the time in my life where I have 2 major decisions to make...

Now that foundation will be over, I have to choose my degree choice. However, until now, I still haven't decided on what to take yet. It's not something easy for me to choose from; unlike other people who have a passion for something like looking after children, have an aim to be a successful doctor, have a whole family with a similar career path to follow on their footsteps, or have a talent like drawing.

I'm still trying to find the correct path to walk on.

It is this feeling again. A feeling I can't control. No matter how much I tried to avoid it, I just couldn't do so.

So I've made my decision on this. I want to try my best and appreciate every chance that comes my way; so that no matter what the outcome is, I can look back at it without regret, for I know that I have at least tried. I've learnt from my mistakes. I've learnt from what I did and what I didn't do.

I admire him for going all out without caring what other people think and say. I'm trying to learn from that. Trying not to care what the world will think or say and not letting gossip bring me down again.

I've made my decision on this. Now is just waiting for the time to come.

Went out with Sam and JX yesterday afternoon after they asked to see movie.



Ghost Must Be Crazy

It is a Singapore movie. The languages used in the movie include Malay, English, Mandarin and Hokkien. It is actually a comedy movie, however, there are several parts of the movie which will give some scares (due to the scary sound effects). There are 2 different stories in the movie itself. I think the 2nd story is nicer than the 1st. Overall, it is a good movie if you really want to laugh at stupid and lame comedy without caring much of the story. Not my kind of movie though.

Maybe a 6.5/10 rating from me?

Went to Sushi King to eat today because of the RM2 per plate promotion for members, which my friend is. I'm not a big fan of sushi but I do like certain dishes like the tempura prawn XD.

Went to JX house in the night. Played guitar (trying to play for me), sang along and then watched them play HoN. Still trying to learn how to play the song on the guitar.

End of semester 3

Friday, 8/4/11 was the last day of semester 3, and also the last day of my foundation course (provided I don't fail any of my subjects in sem 3). The next day and the following Monday was days that my final exam took place. I'll write about the exams first before going on to the overview of the subjects.

Final exams
Statistics had TONS of formulas to remember for the final exam. Fortunately, the exam wasn't really as hard as most people said it would be.

Business Principles had lots of things to remember too, including a few formulas in the accounting chapter. There were many subjective questions to answer in the exam with limited time. It was kinda hard and I answered some question based on my opinions rather than using business terms. Oh well...

Internet Principles. It was quite funny in the exam room. People starting leaving the exam room early after finish doing their exam since there weren't many question that require endless writing (like business exam). When I left around 3.43pm (about 17 minutes before the time's up) there were only 2 other student in the room. LOL. I think I used mostly my general knowledge to answer most of the questions.

Subjects overview
Statistics
The subject was probably my favourite out of the 3 subjects. Its nice to learn some Maths again (don't hate me for saying that). In my opinion, I don't think this subject is as hard as Add Maths. The only problem about doing Stats is remembering the formulas, steps and choosing the right step to solve the question. Most of the question basically requires almost similar steps to solve it. Therefore, unlike Add Maths, it doesn't require as much thinking and brain cracking.
The lecturer often reminded me of myself. The blur blur kind. LOL. Anyway, he was quite good though his teaching can sometimes be a bit too slow. He always seem to be in a good mood though and there is no pressure in his class.

Business Principles.
Though there were many terms to remember and understand, they were somehow related to daily lives too. There were some parts that I like and some parts which I dislike. I like the Fugu fish discussion XD.
This lecturer is probably one of the kindest lecturer. He hardly ever scolds even though the students are noisy in class (he will just tell them off in a serious way). Besides that, whenever students come late into his class (even if an hour late), he will welcome them in and say "come on in." Haha. I will probably remember how he said that forever XD. He really is good. He even allowed my group presentation to be postponed to the following week because one of my member could not make it in time. No marks deducted at all! Sometimes, his lecturers can be quite boring though. At least he does try to make jokes. And I really like it when he tells stories about his life experience.

Internet Principles
AKA Computer Principles 2. Except this was mostly about internet related stuff. The 2 web designing assignments (1 using Dreamweaver, 1 using Flash) were really a big headache for me. Besides that, the subject was ok, though the lecturers can be boring too. Fortunately, the lecturer is really funny and especially when he makes jokes.

Overall a decent semester with good lecturers. Since foundation is over, I'm going to miss all my friends. It's not easy to choose the right people to be friends with. But after a year, it is time to move on. I will remember the memories of my first year in college and how much I learned and changed since Form 5.

Spent most of the night suffering by completing my Internet Principles assignment - creating a website using Flash program. It's the errors and technical problems that makes me want to punch somebody or something. So frustrating!!!
