The Black Eyed Peas - The Time (Dirty Bit)
Love the chorus. The verses not so.
Taio Cruz ft. Travie McCoy - Higher
Chris Brown - Yeah 3X
Yolanda Be Cool & DCUP - We No Speak Americano
Not an English song. But the beat of the song is just awesome.
Enrique Iglesias Nicole Scherzinger - Heartbeat
Cool video, cool piano, cool song.
DJ Earworm - United State of Pop 2010 (Don't Stop the Pop)
It's a mashup of the top 25 songs of 2010. I think the 2009 version sounds much nicer though.

Stupid timetable
Went back to college this morning to register the subjects for the third semester. Aside from the compulsory subject Statistics and Lan subject Moral studies, I still have to take two more elective subjects. I have decided on Business Principles but the last subject was still uncertain. But I have finally chosen C Programming.
Reached there early and fortunately there were many available computers to use. Since we reached early, we waited for the time for registration to start.
Guess what. After thinking and finally deciding on taking C Programming, it wasn't available to be taken. The stupid guy that I asked wasn't even helpful when asked why it isn't available. So what to do. Considered my other backup options: Legal Studies (which was eventually ruled out after hearing that there was a 30 minutes presentation to be done), Internet Principles, Tourism and Hospitality, and Psychology. Unfortunately, I couldn't sign up for the latter two because they clash with my other classes that I already signed up. What the heck man. Really dulan already. So sucks la. Finally, have to cancel my Moral Studies class so that I can choose Internet Principles as my last elective. Have to take Moral Studies during my degree program only. Haiz.
Although I will be taking only three subjects, I still need to go to college everyday!! OMG. I can't believe that!!. Take three subjects only but still need go everyday. Stupid timetable. I have only one or two classes each day. Waste time, energy and petrol to go to college everyday.
What else can be done?
Every decision comes with a consequence. I wonder what are the consequences now.

Meet the Parents: Little Fockers and korean birthday dinner
Went to see Meet the Parents: Little Fockers yesterday.
Although I never saw the previous movies that led to this sequel, it's not difficult to understand the movie. For a comedy, the movie's story is decent. A few parts doesn't really seem logical but it doesn't really matter for a comedy. It kinda starts slow but it gradually gets more and more funnier. There are lots of hilarious parts and the audience will burst out laughing hysterically. The two main actors are good too and their non-verbal language are very good.
Overall a great movie that will give lots of laughter. In my opinion, I'm not quite sure whether rating 13pg is appropriate though. Anyway be sure to stay for the extra scene when the credits start rolling ;)
Rating: 8.3/10

On a side note, I managed my best score in bowling: 122. :D

In the evening, it was birthday celebration for Sherliz at Korean Village. It was quite fun and enjoyable. Except for the food part since I'm not a fan of Korean food. At least it was something different. The meat was tasty though XD.
We sang the birthday song more times than usual. After singing the usual times (English and Chinese), one of the workers there asked if we wanted the birthday song to be played. LOL so we sang again.

I reached home about 11pm+. Didn't went for the second round at the mamak. Still had unfinished things to be done...
Semester 2 exam results
The results came out before noon yesterday. I just wanted to go out when I received a sms informing me that the results are out. Lol.
Critical Thinking Skills: Pass
I wanted a credit here but the final exam must have been very hard to score. I must have did quite badly in my final exam. Fortunately I still passed it.
Advanced English: Distinction
I think I would have just manage to get distinction on this.
Accounting: Distinction
Another 1 which I'm not quite sure how I managed this result.
Economics Principles: Distinction
I'm glad with this result. After all, Econs is a possible degree choice.
Malaysian Studies result not out yet. Hopefully I will pass it. I don't want to retake it.

Semester 2 overview
Semester 2 was much harder than the 1st. Harder, longer studying hours, more subjects, tougher assignments... let's end that by saying semester 2 was really stressful. I took 5 subjects (2 compulsory, 2 electives, and 1 lan) during semester 2: Advanced English, Critical Thinking Skills, Principles of Accounting, Economics Principles and Malaysian Studies.
Just by comparing the words "intermediate" and "advanced", Advanced English was expected to be more difficult than Intermediate English. No surprises here. Grammar was even more important and focused than before. The worst thing about Advanced English was probably (or definitely) the term/research paper. Basically, students must write a research paper consisting of 2000 words with citation, references. Paraphrasing is required as no plagiarizing is allowed. With many rules and regulation to do a good paper, it brought a lot of suffering. Besides that, it comprises 25% of the total marks in Advanced English. Adding the 10% of presentation needed to be done on the topic of each respective research paper, they take up a whopping 35% out of 100% of the subject! Kinda makes the research paper more important when it consists of so many marks.
How about the lecturer? It's easy to describe her. When she is in a good mood (usually during the early classes), the class will be fun and cheerful. When she is in a bad mood (usually during the late classes), it's GG!! She is actually quite nice with her friendly smile and lessons will go on smoothly. Too bad she has a darker side. She blasted the class quite a number of times, including 1 time when she made a super offensive remark: saying that a dog wouldn't even understand our work. WTH man?! So freaking offensive. At least she did apologize at one of the classes near the end of the semester. After all, this was her first time teaching Advanced English.
Critical Thinking Skills was the 2nd compulsory subject for all semester 2 students. Compared to Study Skills, I actually think that this subject is much more useful as it relates more to daily life. Unfortunately, CTS is still a tough subject with a lot to memorize while understanding it.
The lecturer was decent. Though the lectures may sometimes be quite boring, he does give good and clear examples, and is sometimes quite funny.
Accounting was a hard and boring subject for me. It is not really related to Maths. It should be more accurate to say that it is more related to numbers. There isn't much calculation. It's the terms and format that makes doing accounting hard. Another subject with plenty of memorizing. The good thing about this subject is NO assignments or presentations at all. :DDD
Economics Principles covered the basics of Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. Micro was easier than Macro. Anyway, I preferred this subject to Accounting. For this subject, more understanding is needed than memorizing. Other than that, we must relate most of the things that we learnt in the previous topic to the next topic.
The lecturer was quite fun. Her teaching is good and she gives clear examples, though she sometimes teaches too fast. She sometimes tells some stories too. Haha. Every week, her laptop wallpaper will have a different picture of her baby girl. We had really fun time during the class party where we saw her really let her hair down.
Malaysian Studies... the new Sejarah. 1 word. Boring. I really hate Sejarah and this is no better than it. Well maybe except the fact that it is in English. The group assignments were hard too. The first 1 required us to do a video. The second was to talk about a Malaysian movie (Gadoh) that we saw during one of the class. Last one was to visit a place and to make a scrap book about our experience. Haiz it's sad that we got quite low marks for all. I had to work harder for the final exam to aim for a pass.
A very tough semester for me indeed.

Last Christmas
I really love this song. It's my favourite Christmas song.
Cascada's version
Taylor Swift's version
and my favourite version by Glee Cast
Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year, to save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special
Once bitten and twice shy
I keep my distance, but you still catch my eye
Tell me baby, do you recognize me?
Well it's been a year, it doesn't surprise me
Christmas
I wrapped it up and sent it
With a note saying 'I love you', I meant it
Now I know what a fool I've been
But if you kissed me now, I know you'd fool me again
Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year, to save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special
Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year, to save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special
A crowded room, friends with tired eyes
I'm hiding from you, and your soul of ice
My god I thought you were someone to rely on
Me, I guess I was a shoulder to cry on
A face on a lover with a fire in his heart
A man under cover but you tore me apart
Now I've found a real love, you'll never fool me again
Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year, to save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special
Last Christmas, I gave you my heart

The Social Network
Went to Mid Valley today with YSL and Yap. We intended to watch Harry Potter 7 (part 1) but unfortunately, the seats were all sold out already when we reach there at around 11am plus. I didn't expect it to be sold out so fast since it has been about a month since that movie was released. Oh well, at least we had a backup plan - The Social Network.
The Social Network tells the story of facebook and how it was formed by Mark Zuckerberg (played by Jesse Eisenberg). Therefore, it is entirely based on the true story.
Action movies fans will probably not enjoy this movie as much as others. They might think "stop talking and start fighting!". Basically, there is a lot of talking in this movie. And that isn't a bad thing. Jokes are regularly heard, making this movie part comical too. It might be slightly difficult to understand the movie, especially the early flashbacks and forward, but it gradually grows on you.
A punk and a genius. The main actor portrays it brilliantly. All the actors were good but he really played the role very well.
Overall, I think everyone above 18 years old (since it is rated 18+) with a facebook account should watch this nicely produced movie. 8.5/10

Pray
Dear God,
And I pray
I just can't sleep tonight
Knowing that things ain’t right
It's in the papers, it's on the tv
It's everywhere that I go
Children are crying
Soldiers are dying
Some people don’t have a home
But I know there’s sunshine behind that rain
I know there’s good times behind that pain, hey
Can you tell me how I can make a change
I close my eyes and I can see a better day
I close my eyes and pray
I close my eyes and I can see a better day
I close my eyes and pray
I lose my appetite, knowing kids starve tonight
Am I a sinner, cause half my dinner
is still left on my plate
Ooo I got a vision, to make a difference
And it's starting today
Cause I know there’s sunshine behind that rain
I know there’s good times behind that pain
Heaven tell me I can make a change
I close my eyes and I can see a better day
I close my eyes and pray
I close my eyes and I can see a better day
I close my eyes and
I pray for the broken-hearted
I pray for the life not started
I pray for all the lungs not breathing
I pray for all the souls in need
I pray, can you give em one today.
I just cant sleep tonight
Can someone tell how to make a change?
I close my eyes and I can see a better day
I close my eyes and pray
I close my eyes and I can see a better day
I close my eyes and I pray...
I pray... I pray...
I close my eyes and pray.
Amen.
Justin Bieber - Pray
Just days after presenting on my Advance English topic "Religion - Prayer in Christianity", I heard this song. Too bad I didn't hear it earlier (and too bad music can't be played while presenting) or I would have this music played in the background while I presented. :D
It isn't common to find such a beautiful English song. Nice tune, check. Meaningful lyrics, check. Touching and emotional song, check. Good voice, check.
About religion, bonus mark.

Unstoppable
Sunday 21/11/10
Galus clan gathering XD. Went to Times Square to watch Unstoppable.
The movie is inspired by true events. Basically, the movie is just about stopping a unman train that is dangerously moving towards cities and threatening to cause major damage. That is the main storyline and there isn't any other significant storyline (although there are smaller ones). So if you don't like trains or railroads, avoid this movie at all costs. Having said that, the story of the movie is quite logical and there isn't much questions that can be raised to question the story.
The action is nice though there isn't much except trying to stop a train. However, there are a few dramatic moments that make it more exciting. As for jokes, the starting till the middle part of the movie will hardly contain any. It's a good thing some laughter can be heard after the middle part of the movie.
Overall its a good movie. Although the storyline is uncommon and somewhat unique, it has nothing really special that will give the audience something to remember.

It's the way you look at it
Miracles do happen.
Thursday
I was really relieved upon reaching home. Handed in the research paper and Malaysian Studies' scrap book. The following day was Deepavali which means no class (yes I do have a class on Fridays :( ). My mood was really great since I had an extra day to rest after suffering over the research paper.
However, as I was wiping my spectacles, the left handle of the frame broke. Omg... what to do... My specs is my life and I don't have any spares. Tried to fix it but failed. The best I could do was use the cellophane tape to tape it together. It was crooked though so the view through it wasn't very focused.
As this happened, I really felt mad. Why must this kind of thing happen, especially when I'm in a good mood? Must a bad thing spoil the good moment?
After cooling down and doing some thinking (critical thinking?), I realized and remembered that every cloud has a silver lining. I had been using this specs frame since Form 3 or 4 if I'm not mistaken. It was bound to get damaged sooner or later. Actually, this was a very good timing. If it broke some days before, I wouldn't have much time to get a new one. I would have to sacrifice the precious time used to do my research paper to go to the spectacles shop. This would have made me rush even more for the research paper. Besides that, if I really couldn't make it, I would have to wear the cacat cellophane tape frame.
So yeah. Thank God it happened at the right time. Went to get a choose a new frame the following day. It only took a few minutes to change the frame since the lenses match the new frame exactly.
Everything happens for a reason. Good or bad, it just depends on the way you look at it. God knows what's best for you. It's little miracles like this that make me believe. Always and forever.

Research paper/Term paper
Yesterday was the due date for my research paper or aka term paper. It's basically a 2000 word essay where it has to be based on other people's idea and opinion instead of my own. So that's why it's called a research paper since I have to search and write based on them. Because of this, there are so many in-text citation to do. It's really hard to paraphrase too; I really hope I don't plagiarize. References is another hard part to do and I think I did many wrong.
This stupid paper made me (and many other students) suffer so much. Sometimes, going up to the top floor of KLCC and jumping off seems like a good plan to me. Haiz... it was such a pain doing this. I spent many nights sleeping past my normal bed time, thus, getting much less sleep, to do this paper. Had to sacrifice youtubeing, facebooking, and dotaing too especially the last week or two before the due date. However, I think I had myself to blame since I procrastinated doing this paper.
My teacher was not an a comfort for me in doing this paper. Her regular demands to see how far we're done in our paper and her scare tactics only piled more pressure for me. The most scary thing about her is her moods. If she's in a bad mood, prepare for a volcano eruption.
It all ended yesterday! Felt so relieved after handing in the paper. Don't care how many mistakes I made, I only cared that it was over!! Well not really... still need do a presentation about it a few weeks time. Aaarrrrrrrrggggghhhhh!!!!
Anyway thanks to all my friends that helped me out. Really appreciated it.
"It's official... I have phobia of term paper/research paper..." (Paul, 2010, facebook)
ps. I do know that I'm using the wrong format.

Happy birthday mum
*Actual date of birthday will not be clarified.
Happy birthday to the best mum in the world! Hope you enjoyed the yummy day!
Round 1 - Lunch at Dragon-I in Pavilion
Round 2 - High tea at Shook! in JW Marriott
The lights were too bright until cannot take the picture clearly. Lol.
Burnt a small hole in my wallet (and sis's too I guess), but it was worth it. This occasion and food comes very rarely.
Love the woman's voice and the piano in the background. It's a touching song although the lyrics is irrelevant.
Happy birthday~ Lots of love ♥♥

While at Pavilion on that day, I heard this nice song. Fortunately, I managed to find the song:

Mid-term exam of 2nd semester
Throughout last week (last Saturday until yesterday), mid-term exams were being held.
Critical Thinking Skills was the first exam on Saturday. The subjective part was quite hard. There was a section that required us to identify the type of fallacy of a situation given. This was difficult as no choices were given and I already forgotten half of the types of fallacies.
Advance English started 90 minutes after CTS. Besides the question being tough, there was also a problem of insufficient time. We had only 2 hours to read 2 passages and answer objective and subjective questions, correct errors in a passage, fill in blanks in a passage, write a 50 words summary, do some questions about conditionals, and write a 450 words essay. Yea... so I pretty much didn't have enough time. My essay's conclusion had only 2 sentences.
Accounting exam was on Wednesday. I didn't like it as I have to memorize the format of recording. It is so not maths related. Fortunately the exam was not as hard as I expected. But I still fear of getting low marks as making a single mistake could end up ruining the rest of the answers of the question.
My last exam was Economics Principles on Friday. The subjective questions were really tough (and one of a kind o.O) but hopefully I will not get too low marks.
No need to worry... I hope...

Sweet Serendipity
Sweet Serendipity
Ohhhhhhh, ohhhhhhh
I ain’t got no car
And I've got one pair of jeans
They’ve been stretched too far
And now they’re weak at the seams
I can’t say what’s next
And I got nothin' up my sleeve
But I don’t lose my head
Cause it ain’t really up to me
[chorus]
And I’m doing just fine
I’m always landing on my feet
In the nic of time
And by the skin of my teeth
I ain’t gonna stress
Cause the worst ain’t happened yet
Somethings watching over me
Like Sweet Serendipity
Oh, oh, oh oh oh, ohhhhhhh
Sweet Serendipity
Oh, oh, oh oh oh, ohhhhhhh
I don’t ask for a lot
No nothing more than I need
Because I love what I got
Don’t need to play the lottery
I just want to be strong
At the end of the road
I don’t want to hold on
I want the strength to let go
[chorus]
And I’m doing just fine
I’m always landing on my feet
In the nic of time
And by the skin of my teeth
I ain’t gonna stress
Cause the worst ain’t happened yet
Somethings watching over me
Like Sweet Serendipity
And what will be will be
In the nic of time
And by the skin of my teeth
I aint gonna stress
Cause the worst ain’t happened yet
Somethings watching over me
Like Sweet Serendipity
Oh, oh, oh oh oh, ohhhhhhh
Sweet Serendipity
Oh, oh, oh oh oh, ohhhhhhh
Like Sweet Serendipity
Don’t look fate can only find you
Can’t choose for something to surprise you
Set sail without a destination
See where the wind will take you
You never know when you're gonna fall
But I'm not worried
No I'm not worried at all
[chorus]
And I’m doing just fine
I’m always landing on my feet
In the nic of time
And by the skin of my teeth
I ain’t gonna stress
Cause the worst ain’t happened yet
Somethings watching over me
And I’m doing just fine
I’m always landing on my feet
In the nic of time
And by the skin of my teeth
I ain’t gonna stress
Cause the worst ain’t happend yet
Somethings watching over me

Oh, oh, oh oh oh, ohhhhhhh
Sweet Serendipity
Don’t look fate can only find you
You can’t choose for something to surprise you
Set sail without a destination
Sweet, sweet
Sweet, sweet
Sweet Serendipity
Sweet, sweet
Sweet, sweet

I don't know

BBQ poolside birthday party
9/10/10
It was Jennifer's birthday and she held a BBQ party beside the swimming pool at her apartment.
Since there were replacement classes on that day (suckssss), kyan fetched sher, huey and I to Leisure Mall after the 5pm classes ended. From there, the birthday girl's dad fetched me and sher to her house. Thanks for the 2 transportation.
The other early ones that reached at her house, including me, helped to set up the tables and food first. I fail in cooking... and that includes BBQing XD.
Being at the poolside, it sure was tempting for some guys to push people down the pool. Lucky nobody aim me. I didn't want to go into the water (especially while wearing jeans).
The were actually quite alot of people that were at the party. I thought there wouldn't be so many. However, I didn't know many of them, as they were from the birthday girl's school.
After eating and swimming and getting push into the pool (for some people) we went back up the the house where the cake was cut and eaten. Secret recipe's cake was certainly delicious. I'm thinking the price was "delicious" as well. Lol.
Went home at around 11 something. Thanks to bao li for the ride home XD.

Moonlight Resonance
Firstly, in case you are wondering, yes, I do watch Hong Kong dramas. Moonlight Resonance ended its 40 episodes drama today on tv and I have to say that it's one of my favourite drama that I watched. Good story, good acting, good characters and good music XD.
My favourite character is this guy who also sing this really nice song (which is one of the theme song of the drama).

Accident during a jam
I forgot to write about this. This happened I think on the Wednesday two or three weeks ago.
I was driving back home from college at around 5 something. My mum was beside me while Sher and KY was at the back seat carpooling. It was quite jam since many people were driving back after work.
Anyway, all the cars including mine, were moving quite slow due to the jam. I was using the left most lane but there was an emergency lane (it was just a small lane inside the white line) on my left where some cars were using it. That lane was ending so the cars on the left were trying to cut into my lane.
Suddenly, there was a bang on my car and the whole car shook a bit. Apparently, the car on the left was trying to cut into my lane behind my car, but he somehow cut into the lane too early or something, thus knocking into the left side of my car.
So yeah... I was stunned. We both stop at the side (I think we block the lane a bit) and my mum blasted (not literally) the driver. My car had a little dent and some scratches just in front of the left back tire. Fortunately, the guy (who was a P driver too) was also studying in Help. We took down his details before continuing our journey. At least he was willing to pay for the damages.
Being a P driver isn't easy.

17/9/10 - celebration for 2 birthday boys
17/9/10
Celebration for JX and Rick was planned and carried out together since they birthdays were just around the corner.
Sam, JX, Rick, James and I went to play snooker in the afternoon. We were probably the worse players there (no offence). Lol. I ended up getting negative score since I was penalized so many times. LOL. Anyway it was just my first time playing snooker.
Me and Sam left earlier to fetch some people from different locations before joining the rest (who also fetched some people from the nearby lrt) to go to the restaurant for dinner.
We went for dinner at the Chilli Padi restaurant. If your first thought of the restaurant is it's a spicy food restaurant, then you are not alone. Fortunately the food weren't literally chilli padi food. A total of 12 of us had a VIP room to ourselves thanks to the booking by Mr. Sew XD.
After that, all of us went to JX house which was nearby to thrash his home XD. While some played cards, I and the rest tried to play his guitar (cause he got a few.) I wanted to learn guitar all this while but really lack of time. Anyway, JX taught me to play the verse of 'Your Call'. It's quite an easy song compare to the others, plus it's a very nice song too. I'm trying to learn it but it's quite pain for my fingers to hold the strings T.T Hopefully after 4 years (well that's the max limit), I will be able to play that song XD.
Oh yeah. The reason that I want to learn guitar (and learn that song) is so not because I want to kau lui, ok bao li po. LOL.
I saw (and recorded XD. It's for educational purpose ok. Lol) JX playing "Your Call" and "Viva La Vida". Rick played the intro of "Whataya Want From Me". All were very cool. Too bad none of them played the birthday song :(. Blame them for being the birthday boys. Lol.
We said our goodbyes at around 12 midnight. I hope JX's neighbours weren't too disturbed by our noises (especially the 2 guitars.) I sat in Sam's car and he fetch me back. Thanks to the drivers Sam and also JX who drove me around.
Had lots of fun =)

Semester 2 - and I thought semester 1 was hard
It's week 3 of the second semester now and I'm starting to get used to the subjects. Advance English is well literally advance English. Critical Thinking Skills is a hard subject with all the bombastic words and their definitions. Accounting is also quite hard for me since I never learnt it before. Economics is actually easier and more interesting than Accounting. The questions can be tricky and require a lot of thinking though. Finally, Malaysian Studies... what can I say, it's almost like Sejarah. Hard, boring and hard. And did I mention boring? Haiz. It's assignment is quite tough too. Need to film a video or something like that T.T
So basically, all the subjects are hard. And I thought the subjects that I took in semester 1 (especially Computing Principles) were hard. I miss Maths T.T (mind you, accounting and maths are 2 totally different things).
Time passes. Even when it seems impossible.

Bittersweet results
Computing Principles ....... Credit
Study Skills .................. Credit
Intermediate English ....... Distinction
Finite Mathematics ......... Distinction
Sweet surprise for getting a credit for CP. I expected a pass only. And what makes it sweeter is no failure in any of the subject.
A bitter moment to see the goal of achieving High Distinction for Maths dashed. Well actually I expected it already because of a tough question that I was clueless. Oh well...
As long as I passed everything...

26/8/10
Jayden and Jarett got baptised on Sunday. I really wonder if Jarett's heart was truly committed into doing it. Hmmm... hope his life will be touch by God. Hope Jayden will grow up to be a good boy (I sound weird saying this >.<) in his now Christian family.
Too bad holidays never last forever...
Rediscovered one of my childhood addiction :P and searching for music took most of my holiday time XD
Second semester is about to begin... and I haven't even decided on what two elective subjects to take. I only know that I'll be taking Accounting. Haven't decided on my other subject and my two elective subjects in the third semester. Arrgggghhhhhhh so confused... it isn't easy to decide when you don't have a decided ambition... a passion for something like being a teacher or taking care of kids... a talent like designing... a determination to be have a specific work like a doctor...
Hope I pass all of my first semester's subjects!!
Hope I will choose the right path of career...

Half Of My Heart
Half of my heart's got a right mind to tell you that I can't keep loving you
can't keep loving you
oh, with half of my heart
But I can't stop loving you
can't stop loving you...
With half of my, half of my heart
Half of my heart won't do

The Expendables
Went to Times Square today with Rick, JX and Sam to watch The Expendables.
Spoilers ahead!!
With many well known actors, I had expected it to be a good movie. It didn't live up to my high expectations though. There were lots of action scenes and gun shots but somehow, it doesn't really bring much thrill to the audience. Besides that, the movie seem quite fake too with hardly any injuries done to the protagonists. The story line was quite basic too. I also think that I need to mention that Arnold Schwarzenegger gets only like 5 minutes of screen time. -.-
Fortunately, like most movies, there were a few funny moments that were good. But besides that, it was mostly shooting and blasting and knife throwing and violent killing. However, there were a few cool scenes from the movie too.
Action movie fans will really love this movie while others might have different views.

Overview of first semester
Intermediate English
The demonstrative speech presentation was a nightmare. My topic was "how to solve a Rubik's Cube". As expected, everyone except one or two that knew how to solve it looked quite blur. Fortunately I managed to finish it within the time limit. That was my only good point. Public speaking is so not my thing. I only got 6.2/10 :(
Quiz 2 was almost as bad too. The body of the essay needed to be written in passive form. It's so difficult to think of points and elaborations in passive form. Lost quite alot of marks because of this. Only manage 6/10 marks.
The final exam of Intermediate English was not as hard as the first exam. Because of this, I manage to finish the exam with some time to spare. I hope I can get a good mark for this exam. But overall for this subject, I don't think I will get good grades because of my poor presentation and quiz 2. Zzzz.
Study Skills
Fortunately, there aren't any presentation for this subject. Phew. The other subjects' presentation were already a handful. X.X
The group assignment done by me, Sher, Kyan and Huey were actually quite good. 12 point something out of 15 marks. Inside were also a few praises (like "good point", "good analysis") from the lecturer. Lol feel so happy about this outcome XD. Actually I think we deserved to get these marks. We stayed back to work on this together and finish it quite early too. Haha.
Wonder what marks I will get for the final exam. The essay part had a really stupid (well stupid and useless in my opinion) question. Really... I doubt many people will apply that in their life. Applying that will actually complicate things instead of helping to ease it.
Computing Principles
Yup CP... my (and most people's) worst and most hated subject out of the four. Studying for the final exam brings back memories of studying for Sejarah again. T.T
I was actually quite surprise for my group's powerpoint assignment-cum-presentation marks. 9 point something out of 10!! Wow!! And I only had like half a day to get the design, fonts and animations done (cause of the delay from my other 2 group members T.T). I truly wonder whether we deserve such high marks. No complaints though XD.
As expected, the final exam was hard, especially the subjective part. I hope some of my commonsense answers will earn me some marks XD.
Finite Mathematics
This was without a doubt the lesson that gave me the least pressure. I really like this lecturer. I'm going to miss his classes :(.
For my group's assignment-cum-presentation, I made a big mistake. I lead them to do the wrong working of the assignment :(. While other groups with the same question found the same answer as our original, I thought it was incomplete and thus, I did an extra working. I was actually quite determine that it could be correct. Oh well... it turns out to be wrong. We only got 11 out of 15 marks. I'm so sorry for my mistake :(
My target was High Distinction for this subject. But in order to met that target, I need to get about 38/40 for my finals. Too bad there's a stupid question that I didn't know how to do. Arrrrrrrggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Spent about 1 hour on it(I finished the rest of the questions) and still came up blank. Haizzzzzz there goes the HD...
The passing mark for each subject is 16/40 percent for the final exam. Hope I don't fail any subject... I don't want to waste time, money and effort to retake the subject. >.<
I can only hope now...

Semester break
Tuesday was the last day of my final exams.
Meaning that the first semester is over.
Meaning that I had a month of holiday.
Meaning that stressful and tiring days are cut down.
Meaning that I could finally have enough down time.
Meaning that I have time to blog again.
=)
Welcome August - the month of holiday XD

Look Out Point
12/6/2010
There was a birthday celebration for 4 girls at Look Out Point since their birthdays are around this day (and even 1 of their birthday on this day).
The place was quite uphill and the road to the place was widing to go up.
Some of us reached there early so we went up to the restarant first. Its kinda like a treetop house. We checked the prices at the menu and even ordering a glass of sky juice could burn a hole in our wallets. >< But the restautant had a great view since it was at a high spot.
Unfortunately (well maybe it could be fortunately) for us, we went to the wrong restaurant. The others called us to tell the correct restaurant. Lol. Lucky we didn't order anything yet; we were just hanging around. XD
The 1st thing to check on the correct restaurant's menu was the plain water. Haha. Lucky this 1 was cheaper XD. If not sure become beggar after dinner.
The food there was ok, but the view there was the main attraction. The pictures can't really capture its full beauty though.
At some point, the lights would turn off, disco ball light turn on while the birthday song plays before a waiter brings the cake for a customer having his birthday. This happened about 5 times but we didn't have that played for us. Weird cause we have 4 people celebrating their birthdays. Well its probably necessary to buy their cake or something for that special(and after being played 5 times, annoying) happening.
It was quite dangerous to drive back in the night though since there is no street lights at all. Besides the car headlights, only the small square mini light at the center of the roads lit the road up at some points.
This wouldn't be my choice of celebration unless for a very special occasion.

Life in college
I haven't updated my blog for quite some time now. With less leisure time, blogging seem to be unappealing compared with other things.
Life in college have been quite tiring... well for me it is. Assignments were assigned, worried, stressed over, and finally completed... with me nearly dying in the process. In addition to that, presentation was another nightmare. I even had to buy a formal shirt and shoes (I had the pants) for a presentation. Haiz... Presentation brought along lots of nervousness and anxiousness. No need to mention the stress which came along with it. The first quiz for each subject except Study Skills were taken too. Fortunately it wasn't too bad.
Mid-terms exams were sat for just last week (7/6-9/6) which thankfully leads to no classes on the following two days. While school students were having their 2 weeks holiday, I was having mid-term exams. Yea... life can be just that fair. At least the badly needed 2 days holiday was there.
Intermediate English is like English except that we are learning much deeper but basic English. Have to learn back the tenses and the type of sentences. ZZZ. Besides that, there's also formulas in English too! @@ Omg? It seems to me that this is the first time I had to memorize and study so hard for an English exam (not counting the literature part last time). Well the exam was quite tough. The words which require definition to be answered was head cracking.
Study Skills is a waste of time. In my opinion, no other words describe it better than that. It's kinda like Moral I guess except this teaches about studying and stuff like that. Heh I don't even really know what this subject is about. The objective part of the exam was alright. One of the question even had a answer choice about facebook XD. On the contrary, the subjective part were hard. Fortunately, not too many marks go for that part.
Finite Maths is like Additional Additional Maths. The topics are abit similar to Add Maths. And just like Add Maths, I had not enough time. I did finish the questions that I knew but haven't had enough time to write some random workings on a question I didn't know how to do. Stupid logarithms! But besides that, it wasn't too bad.
Computing Principle is like Sejarah. Boring and hard to remember. I just cant get the names and its uses inside my brain. But I guess it is easier than Sejarah since it's in English and it's not about the history :D. Still it was the toughest subject and exam.
So with assignments and presentations, college life is guaranteed to be a tiring and stressful one.

18th Birthday
8/5/2010
Part 1 - Family
Family first... literally.
Me, mum, sis, Jarett and Jayden went for some program in KL Tower today. It was organized by Biolife and it was mostly about health talk. So it was no surprise that I was the youngest person that joined the program (not including Jayden).
Went up the the KL tower before some talks started. Blah blah blah... sounded kinda like Biology related stuff.
Went for a walk at a jungle like path beside the KL tower later. We didn't manage to complete the whole route because it was delayed (by the exercises and talks and the question that were asked). Maybe it was a good thing too cause the weather was burning.
Lunch followed by lucky draws. Apparently the birthday person will always have some lucky. I won a electronic toothbrush (which I didn't want or need, so I gave it to my sis).
We later went to have the around the KL Tower's deck board to have a view of KL. Not too bad I guess.
Part 2 - A friend
Time Square again. It was crowded. The bowling alleys were also crowded when we got there so we walk around first hoping the crowd will lessen later.
The crowd did lessen... maybe by 1 or 2 people I guess. Still we got our socks and short nails already(I didn't want any nails to crack or break by playing bowling ><) so we went for a game.
Either the bowling alley was too crowded or the lane that we got was glitchy. Our first few shots and the last few shots weren't recorded into the screen. And the workers there were invisible in the crowd. Oh well, at least we got a few extra rounds because of it (the pins keep refilling XD).
There was some other "technical error" too. Mum didn't hear that I sms her so she arrived later that we wanted her to pick us up. Lol. Sorry for the delay. Was slightly late for the next part of the day too.
Part 3 - More friends
A total of 13 of us had dinner as a celebration at Steak Garden. It was good since I didn't want too many people. But the place was crowed though. I think it had something to do with the fact that the day after today is Mother's Day. Fortunately we had probably the only space left which was at the corner. Ate, chatted, talked crap, took photos, before they (my friends) brought out a cake for me. Lit the candles, sang the song, cut the cake. Then came the ugly part. The guys wanted my face to eat the cake, or in other words, hitting some cake on my face. I tried to run away but there really isn't any chance when it more than 5 guys vs me alone. Fortunately not all of them wanted to do it, thus only 3 pieces of cake were smacked onto my face. Kinda pain coming from the right side.
Had lots of fun there. I think we were quite noisy too. Haha.
After dinner, some of the guys and I went to a mamak to chat and hang out. But we went back before 12 midnight as we were quite tired.
Although it was a bittersweet birthday, it was one of the best birthday in my memory.

Ip Man 2
Went to Times Square yesterday to see Ip Man 2.
Those people that loves fighting/kung fu movies will love this movie. There are many fighting scenes in this movie. There are also lots of humour in this movie. The story was just the average, typical kind of story. Kinda dramatic but the movie was also emotional. The movie also delivers a moral value.
All in all, it is a great movie.
I still prefer Iron Man 2 though.

Iron Man 2
Having a student card finally has its advantages. Besides having a cheaper rate at bowling, my movie ticket had also a student price.
The 2 hour long movie definitely lived up to expectations. The main actor(Robert Downey Jr.) played his character really well. I think nobody could have played Tony Stark better. This alone was a key factor in making this movie(and the 1st movie) a great one.
Then, there's the future and high tech stuffs that makes you go "wow" or "walau" or "fuyoh". After all, who wouldn't like cool and advance technology?
The main villain character was played very well too. Equip with his evil laugh, his portrait of the villain was very well done.
And finally, there's Iron Man. Probably the coolest armor ever. There is even more to that but I would spoil the story if I said more.
The story wasn't the best but it was still nice. Quite a number of funny moments were in the movie too.

I can't decide whether Iron Man 1 or 2 is better. I guess both rocks equally.
Not impress yet? Go watch it yourself to understand why it is so good. XD

College life
In a few blinks of an eye, it has been 2 weeks of college life (technically its 5 weeks, but the first 3 weeks wasn't really studying, so whatever).
Finite Maths is probably the class which have the least pressure (for me at least). Most of the topics were learned in secondary school so it wasn't too bad. The lecturer is good too as he never scolds students for answering wrong. His classes aren't so serious either.
Intermediate English is alright too, although the lecturer sometimes intimidates us. At least he has a good sense of humour too.
Computing Principle is a pain. It strangely reminds me of learning Biology - memorizing those weird and peculiar names and their functions and so on. Haiz... this is going to be hard for me.
Study Skills in my opinion is not very useful. And with a few other bad factors, this is 1 of the worse class to go into. Fortunately, it's only a once a week class. Phew...
So far, everything is alright. Except the assignments, presentations and group project that need to be done. Arrggghhh! I hate them. These add to the pressures on to my shoulders.
In a nutshell (the English lecturer says that many students use the words "in a nutshell" to write their essays. Looks like I have to change my conclusion style), college is quite tiring and stressful (especially when I keep thinking about the assignments... OMG). I know that it can be quite exciting and can get to meet more people and join more activities and what-not...
Too bad those doesn't increase my fun meter much...
At least I got my classmates-turned-exclassmates-turned-classmates.
Thank God there's a badly needed 1 week study break this week.
