It's amazing how stupid you can be when you're in love

No matter how one-sided or stupid or illogical it is,

Escape Plan

Sylvester Stallone works as a person who breaks out of prison as his living. After successfully breaking out of numerous prisons, a new high technology prison is his new job. However, all are not smooth sailing as things start to go unexpectedly in the new prison.

Although the straightforwardness in the movie, there are a few twist in the plots which makes it more interesting. The movie is filled with action too so there will be no boringness despite the lack of comedy.

The Wolverine

Hugh Jackman reprises his role as Logan aka Wolverine in The Wolverine.

Years after Logan saved a Japanese soldier, Logan is called back to the soldier (who is now an old and wealthy man) who wants to repay him. He offers Logan the chance to be mortal. Along the way, Logan protects the man's granddaughter from mobs and people that are trying to harm her. However, after getting hurt from another mutant's poison, Logan discovers that his auto healing isn't working anymore - leaving him vulnerable. That isn't his only problem as he is still traumatic from the incident of Jean Grey's death.

The story might seemed a bit confusing at first, but it develops well. This story is very well done in depth and the ending is one that is unexpected. 

All the actors and actresses played their character well though Logan is the main attention of the movie. 

Besides the detailed storyline, there are many action scenes and combat. You can almost feel Logan's pain as he goes through quite a lot of painful encounters.

From the characters to the action to the storyline. Everything is well done and this makes the movie a great one.

Despicable Me 2

Ex-supervillain Gru is living his peaceful life with his 3 daughters and his army of minions. After a mysterious happening, Gru is recruited to solve this problem.

The story isn't much to be amazed at. It is quite predictable and common. However, the minions really steal the whole show. Their cute gibbering and funny nature will certainly be a liking for everyone. I think most people will watch this movie just to see the minions.

There are both action and comedy in this movie but the action part seems to be pale in comparison with the comical parts. There isn't any touching moments like most animated movie either. So the mood is steady throughout the movie.

Funny and cute movie. Decent storyline but the minions obviously brought the ratings up.

World War Z

What does the Z in World War Z stands for? Zombie. After just a few minutes of introduction, we are thrown into an action scene where the main character (Brad Pitt) and his family are running away from the first wave of zombies. Soon, it is discovered that a mass outbreak of zombies is quickly spreading and infection all over the world. This will lead to the extinction of human.

The main character risks his life and travel from one country to another trying to find clues that might help stop the zombies.

First off, there are several scary and tense scenes where the zombies will suddenly appear. The action will keep you on the edge of your seat. The zombies look convincing which makes it more effective.

Brad Pitt takes centre stage as the whole movie involves him. He did a good job portraying his character and this carried the movie well. 

A tense movie that would probably be impossible to fall asleep in.

The good ones get hurt the most

The ones that are the most caring, most helpful, most loving, most hardworking, most loyal and most sincere.

They are the people that gives the most.

Because of that, it always seems that these good people get hurt the most.

Man of Steel

The movie starts off by showing the happenings on the dying planet Krypton where Superman was born before being sent to earth by his parents. The movie shows how he learns to control his powers and how he has to keep his powers a secret. The story is good; however the flow seems quite messy. The flashbacks seem to appear randomly and this cause a slight confusion.

The action is quite unrealistic, but what can be expected since Superman is so overpowered. The movie did a good job in showing this though. However, the final fight screen was pretty much a let down.

No more red underwear on the outside is a huge plus for the suit.

The story and its depth is great. If only it was with better flow. The flashbacks would have been more effective.

Fast and Furious 6

The sixth movie already? I only watched the fifth and this was my second one of the series.

The crew retires from their old ways, but after a series of mastermind criminals, they are called up to work with the police to catch the criminals.

There are plenty of action in the movie, although the action is moving away from just racing and driving. It involves combat, shooting and even a tank and aircraft! This isn't a bad things as we get to see more cool action. However, all the stunts and scenes are just way to dangerous if it were to happen in real life (all of them would probably be dead if it happened in real life). This makes it seems a bit fake and unrealistic. But it's a movie after all.

Action, action and actions. A movie full of action scenes. If you are an action movie lover, who cares if it is unrealistic. There is also a short scene for after the movie which is probably the teaser for Fast 7.

Oh ya, the runway in this movie is freaking long!

Iron Man 3

Had been waiting for this since the first trailer was released. Finally went and saw Iron Man 3.

The story continues after the battle in The Avengers. Due to the happenings in The Avengers, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is unable to get any good night sleep and is starting to get anxiety attacks. He tries to distract himself by building more suits as we get to see them in the movie. A mysterious terrorist is committing random attacks. After Stack's house gets destroyed, he is forced to hunt down the terrorist with only an out of power Mark 42. 

In this movie, we get to see more of Stark out of his armor. This is both a good and a bad thing. Less actions with the cool armor, but more of his funny and witty personality. His acting is superb and carries the movie very well. All the other cast do their part well too including the Mandarin who is the shown as the terrorist.

The story seems decent and has its funny moments too. However, there seem to be a few holes that might leave viewers wondering what happen.

                            

War Machine with a paint job = Iron Patriot. War Machine is so much better.

                           

We also get to see all the different Mark and suits which are all very nice.

All in all, it is a wonderful action movie that leaves up to all the hype and expectation. There are a few holes in the story but it isn't enough to prevent it from being a success.

When best is not good enough

Sometimes, hard work doesn't pay off.

You can grind for hours, stress for days; straining and pushing yourself to the limit. You can work non-stop without any rest until you get physically, mentally and emotionally tired. You become drained of all the energy you could fight with.

However, all these drops of blood and sweat do not guarantee a good return. In fact, in some cases, nothing is given for your effort. You can try as hard as you can, do everything that you can come up with and give it your all. Despite of everything that you've done, you might still fail. Accomplishing nothing, getting nothing, succeeding at nothing.

All the hard work, all the struggles, all the pain, all the effort. They all seem to go down the drain.

Sometimes, trying your best is just not good enough.
